From the Folks that Brought Your the Reatta and The EV1, We Present the SSR!
Oh, wait...That wasn't a great introduction was it? Well, Chevy SSR has met the same fate as the Reatta and EV1: death. The last SSR rolled of the line at the Lansing Craft Centre on March 17. What is it that doomed all these vehicles? Could it be the trite use of the word "centre"? In any case, the SSR was a fun buggy to drive around in at the GM ride and drive events but never got on a solid sales footing. The SSR was a pricey little animal that originally didn't have the cojones to backup the look. More power and a manual tranny arrived, but sadly sales never did. Perhaps a fixed roof version, offered for 6-8k less would have faired better? It certainly wouldn't have flexed and rattled as much. So long SSR, we hardly knew yah!
