Mini Traveller
Auto Express has a few pictures and a little blurb about the forthcoming Traveller. Looks like a nice addition to the Mini lineup. What a fantastic job the current Mini has done reestablish the brand. I'd really like to have a Mini myself, but sadly it just doesn't fit in the plans. One of the interesting facts about the next generation model is that the white roof will be a clip on panel. Apparently the current Mini has to go through the paint booth twice when contrasting roofs are selected and that really slows things down. With BMW looking to maximize efficiencies, engineers have developed a way to have the car only go through the booth once and then the contrasting roof panel will be fitted later.
