200+ MPG in Less Than 15 Minutes?

A company called RevoPower is marketing a power assist for bicycles that is a uniquely packaged 25cc, 2-stroke engine. Gas is stored in a "water bottle" tank and the engine itself is contained inside the front wheel. The company claims that almost any adult bike can be retrofitted with wheel in approximately 15 minutes. In order to start the motor you've got to use some "Flinstone power," but after the engine is running you let your muscles take a break. RevoPower says that it's new invention should hit the streets in early 2007 for a cost of $400. Currently RevoPower is taking $50 deposits on the wheel. Most power assist devices that I've seen have been pretty lame, but this new in wheel power unit could be a game changer. I don't know how many takers they'll have, but it's something to keep an eye one. You can visit the spiffy RevoPower website by clicking here.
