2007 Honda CR-V Spy Shots

The grill doesn't look as awkward in this photo, but then again it's at an angle and the paint is a dark color. I think that the rear quarter looks rather good and better than I had envisioned. With Honda's "Safety for Everyone" policy the CR-V should be nicely equipped with airbags and such. Let's hope that the Civic's active headrests are standard. I would also like to see stability control standard as well--it should be standard across the whole lineup!

[Updated] I've added a couple of shots--one of which has a nice full frontal view. I've also thrown in a couple of old rendering so that we could walk down memory lane.

[Updated #2] A few more photos of the forthcoming CR-V. Someone asked about the spare tire location and size. Since the Acura RDX and CR-V are so closely related, I think that it is safe to assume that the CR-V will have a space saver tire mounted underneath the floor of the hatch just like the RDX.

Could you PLEASE tell us if the spare tire on the 2007 CR-V will be a FULL size spare or a DONUT sized one and will it be mounted underneath the rear of the vehicle or inside the cargo area?

Didn't Honda already fail with a small crossover/wagon back in 95-98 with their first generation Odyssey??? If memory serves, it had 4 regular doors like this new CR-V , and was smaller than all the rest of the competition!!! Other than the 3rd row magic stowing seat, there really is no difference between these 2 models!!! Who said there isn't a market in the U.S. for a undersized 'mini van', errr crossover vehicle??? Just ask Mazda how many Mazda 5's they sell a month to answer this timely question!!!
