After the Car Comes Apart...

Okay, that's a bit of a tongue in cheek title. You see, the owner of the Enzo that was recently ripped apart on Utah's State Route 257 wrote an article for Road & Track about his conversion of the Enzo into a targa titled "After the Top Comes Off". Mr. Losee purchased a second set of doors and modified them to make the car a T-top. The original doors were untouched and could be refitted in a jiffy to restore the car to its natural state.

Now, the sad part. Mr. Losee crashed the Enzo during a charity rally and he did it in rather spectacular fashion I might add. He's okay, a few fractures but I'm sure he'll heal up quite nicely. The Enzo will take more work. I'm not sure which set of doors were on the car at the time of the crash and if that could have played into the accident in any way.

If you are a Road & Track regular, you'll know that this Enzo has been featured frequently in the magazine: road tests, long term update, and the targa article. I'm sure that this latest episode will become another article once everyone is feeling better.
