Exclusivity? We've never Hertz of it!
According to Automotive News, Ford dealers will get a retail version of the Shelby GT-H (the 325-horsepower Hertz Mustang). Originally slated for just a 500 model run where Hertz would rent them out and then the cars would be dispatched for sale. One of the cars was donated to the Experimental Aircraft Association where it fetched $250,000 at auction.
Now here comes a retail car that will be called the Shelby GT and will be available for the 2007 model year. The color scheme may be a bit different, but certainly its provenance will stay nearly the same. Does this lower the value of the 500 GT-H models?
