Not Just a Sedan Anymore: CTS to Spawn Coupe, Crossover?


According to Automotive News a fastback coupe and Euro-styled crossover variants of the Cadillac CTS were shown to dealers. AWD is also a possiblity as is a "third" yet to be described variant. Cadillac believes that the CTS has been a "credibility booster" and wants to leverage its standing into a full lineup of vehicles not unlike BMW and the 3 series.

It all makes sense to me. The CTS has garnered a lot of attention from folks who would have otherwise never considered a Cadillac. I've long thought that a CTS coupe would be quite tasty. As for the crossover, would this be different than the rumored BRX which would share basic architecture and components with the next-generation Chevrolet Equinox and Saturn Vue?
