Yoink! AutoWeek Forums Offline


Just when I thought that AutoWeek's major forums troubles were behind it, I get this announcement that the forums are under development. Perhaps there had been some warning and I just missed it, but it sure seems odd that they couldn't test the forums in a different beta section and then import all the posts over. It's a pretty bold move to simply take the forums offline to tinker with them and not even given a projected completion date.

AutoWeek does have one of the best entirely free magazine based car sites on the web. The content is refreshed constantly, almost to the point of making the magazine redundant.

In the past AutoWeek's forums usually returned within a day or so of encountering its troubles, so we'll see if that holds in this case.
