2007.5 Chevy Aveo Spy Shots

Cheers and Gears has a couple of new spy shots of the facelifted Aveo hatchback. The infestation of engine vents on the sides of the front quarter panels continues. I think it's safe to say that by the time a styling "feature" reaches the level of something like the Aveo it's close to being OVER. I'm not knocking the Aveo, but these vents (notice that the linked article is from November of last year when vents were just starting to really take off) are just getting out of control. The spy photos are from Brenda Priddy and we all know she defends them with the protectiveness of a lioness guarding her cubs, so the pictures above are from a Korean source. Click here for the photo Priddy shoot.

While standing outside the SF Opera House waiting for the wife, I lost count of the number of brightly colored Aveo hatches that zipped by (kind of like M&M's with wheels). A very popular car in the City! I like the styling of the little buggy and I'm sure the refresh will keep it current. The General really made a lucky move having the Aveo out before the market for these cars took off, leaving Ford to only aspire to have such a car for itself. Were it Ford to have such car, they would undoubtedly be having a fiesta right now. Okay, okay, people are starting to throw things at me: Settle Down!
