Ford Mondeo Concept






Here are a few shots of the Mondeo concept premiering in Paris. Sure, there will be minor changes for the production model but they will be just that, minor. We've seen previous generations of the Mondeo on our shores in the shape of the Ford Contour/Mercury Mystique and later on the Jaguar X-Type. The X-Type will more than likely die when the current generation ends its model run, but don't cry for lack of a Mondeo. Given all the platform sharing going on, the Mondeo will arrive here in the USA in various configurations. The Land Rover LR2 is loosely based on Ford's EUCD platform. Some Volvo products will also be based on EUCD platform as well, such as the forthcoming S80. Jaguar could choose to base a crossover off the Mondeo platform and Ford could bring the Mondeo-based S-Max to the USA, so stay tuned.
