LLN Thinks the B-Class is Headed to the USA...Not!
Left Lane News has another post up about the B-Class being headed for the USA market. I'm still very skeptical that this car will be coming here. True, MBUSA's website once heralded the arrival the of B, but considerable time has past and the mood of dealers has changed. Let's not forget that dealers actually boarded a plane and flew to Germany to ask Dieter not to sell the fortwo in MB showrooms. The C-Class coupe bombed. Granted this is a more practical car, but I think the message has been clear: nothing less than a C-Class sedan in MBUSA dealerships.
There have been a lot of photos floating around of B's in the USA with distributor plates (as opposed to visiting Canadian's). Who knows what they are testing here, but I don't think it's because of an impending announcement. Of course I'd love to be wrong on this one: I'm a sucker for hatchbacks.
