Man Blows Up Speed Camera, Evidence Survives
Craig Moore was driving along in a company vehicle when he saw the tell tale flash of a speed camera. With ten points already on his license, Mr. Moore worried that his days as a driver would be numbered, so he decided on a plan of action: destroy the camera. In the end the camera was destroyed, but the hard drive survived. Worse still was that Mr. Moore’s company vehicle had a tracking device, so they were able to reconstruct the entire debacle based on the tracking records. The ultimate twist to this event is that authorities only used the information to from the camera to write to offenders but did not carry out prosecutions, so had Mr. Moore elected to do nothing he would have gotten off scott free! Full story here. Thanks to Joe for the tip.
