Steering Wheel Worse than Toilet Seat...



...for germs. Research commissioned by UK grocer Tesco found that steering wheels averaged 41,600 germs, compared with only 17,400 on a toilet seat. Just think about that the next time you are multitasking behind the wheel :-)

For those folks curious about Tesco, they are a giant back in the UK and are looking to setup camp here in the USA starting with the West Coast. Various sources report that Tesco is being extremely secretive about their plans, but supposedly the Phoenix area will be the first to get a Tesco. A functioning mock up of the planned US stores was setup in a warehouse and was used to gauge focus group reactions. Curious folks were originally told the mock up was for a movie set. Tesco is so successful, that back in the UK they've got Walmart complaining to the government: now that's a switch, huh?
