Outlook and Acadia May Be Feeling Too Many Good Vibrations

Okay, the headline is going to be longer than the article. GM is halting sales of the GMC and Saturn crossovers to add drainage holes to the engine mounts. Water freezing on the engine mounts hinders their ability to absorb engine vibrations.

This is far less of a serious recall than when GM recalled the Trailblazer & company for faulty suspensions. At the time owners were told to stop driving their vehicles and have them towed to the dealership.

Three cheers for GM for sweating the details on this launch. So far the crossover twins have been earning mostly positive reviews with Edmunds going so far as to say that the crossovers may be "the next big thing." That is light years away from the reviews of the new Ford Edge which has been earning tepid reviews at best.
