Some creative thinking from supplier Webasto lets the light shine in on the fortwo and C30.

Basically this is a press release w/ Webasto crowing about its latest products, but an interesting read nonetheless. Presumably these polycarbonate products will not scratch and cloud as forebears did in the early days.

The article mentions a rolling sunshade for the fortwo's roof, but it doesn't mention how well the roof panel controls solar loading with the shade all the way open. One nice thing about a lot of today's glass proudcts is their amazing ability to keep you cool and burn free while still keeping things light and airy.
