I love drive-in theaters. Lots of good memories watching summer blockbusters at the MotorVu Drive-In up in Lebanon, Oregon. Well now a new guerilla style drive-in is being promoted by MobMov (Mobile Movie). With only short advance notice via e-mail, MobMov will setup in a location and project against a suitable backdrop. All powered by a Toyota RAV4!
I think it’s a great way to bring back a tradition with a nice technological update. Of course as with anything if the idea takes off then crowds will build. Property owners and local authorities who either weren’t aware or looked the other way will clamp down and it will all take on the air of any other commercial enterprise.
