The Bay Bridge's New Eastern Span
Sure there have been a lot of reports filed on the construction of the Bay Bridge's new eastern span. What sets this photo essay apart is that it's part of a 25 day, 4,891 mile road trip by CNET reporter Daniel Terdiman. The above picture is a rendering of what the final product should look like. What a great visage! So much better than what could have been (see alternative 6 above). It's hard to believe that it's going to be 2013 before it's ready to go.
