Congestion Charge Could Increase to $50 For Some
Yet another change for the congestion charge that drivers to the central zone of London pay on a daily basis. Currently the fee is a pricey $16 (8 British pounds) but London Mayor Ken Livingston would like to change to ratchet those fees up to $50 for drivers of "Chelsea Tractors" AKA SUVs that emit the most CO2 emissions.
Cities around the world all have their eyes on London and its congestion charge and I think Livingston revels in it. It remains to be seen whether or not he can push this massive increase upon the public.
