According to rumors floating around the Internet, European sales of the next generation Golf is being delayed by at least six months due to a host of last minute design changes. One of the big objectives of the next design is to bring the cost of manufacturing the car into line with competitors. However, the delays have stemmed from a review instigated by VW boss Martin Winterkorn. Hopefully, the changes will not be noticeable to the buyer. Look for the new model to bow at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. Until then, enjoy this rendering of what the next Golf might look like.
