DHL to Assemble Recaro Seating

File this one in the "Huh, I didn't know they did that" category. The shipping company DHL will be assembling Recaro seats. There's a bit more to this story, as it is actually a division of DHL called DHL Exel Supply Chain that will be doing the work.

A bit of history to fill in the gaps. DHL, a unit of Deutsche Post, was joined with contract logistics company Exel plc back in 2005 when Deutsche Post purchased the supply chain integrator. This isn't DHL Exel's first foray into the automotive assembly business, it has been pre-assembling door trims for Audi's A4 and A6.
