It's one thing to look at spiraling oil prices and curse the day oil started to skyrocket. There is another side, a far more troubling one: the tremendous transfer of wealth that surging oil prices has caused. It's not just Saudi Arabia, it's Russia, Venezuela, Nigeria and other countries that are suddenly seeing a tremendous influx of cash. It's not all for the better, that's for sure.
I'm not trying to influence anyone's politics on a Saturday afternoon, but I did find this article interesting. I guess what struck me was the impact of oil prices beyond the pump and outside of the Middle East. If you've got a few minutes, give the article a quick read and see what you think.
