A reader sent in this article about an Airbus plane that was set to be delivered Wednesday (11/21), only to be wrecked during pre-delivery checks at Airbus' Toulouse facility. Wow. The A340 was being prepped for Etihad Airways, the National Airline of the United Arab Emirates, but now has been written off.
The A340-600 has an average list price (nobody actually pays that much) of $218 million.
