I Could See Grandpa Simpson Making This Argument

A 100 year old Japanese man has been cited for driving without a license after clipping a seven year old school girl. Fortunately the driver only hit the girl's umbrella, but this was the second time he had been in an accident since having his license revoked in August. Why did he feel it necessary to be behind the wheel? To ward off senility of course!

Starting in 2009, drivers over age 75 in Japan will be required to get checkups for dementia when they renew their licenses.
