Not complete thoughts, rather a couple of things that have been on my mind this week...
This Saturday while returning home we were caught in a traffic jam. The source of the slowness was a two car accident. A 2006 Honda crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a 1994 Subaru. Everyone was wearing seat belts, but sadly the front passenger in the Subaru was killed. The Honda driver suffered moderate injuries. Also this week, a co-worker's friend was stopped at a light in his new Mercedes CLS. Another vehicles travelling at an estimated speed of 50 MPH plowed into the back of his car. He walked away from the accident badly shaken, but with no injuries. Amazing strides are being made in vehicle safety each and every year. Would a newer car have saved the Subaru passenger's life?
Will the Bush-supported proposal aimed at stopping and reversing the real-estate market's spreading turmoil help the automotive industry? Given the bearish sentiment for 2008, any relief for homeowners would seemingly be welcome news for manufacturers.
It's pretty interesting what you can come up with after watching Fight Club and then chasing it with Muppets From Space...that's all for now!
