All lanes of the Pomona Freeway in the City of Industry, CA were reopened Monday after a closure resulting from a crash in which a big rig hauling live pigs overturned. The driver had made a lane change and that momentum combined with the shifting weight of the animals caused the "pig rig" to overturn. Some 30 pigs were ejected from the trailer and onto the roadway. Sadly, some of the pigs died in the accident. Hopefully the little oinkers are in "hog heaven."
