As per an Automotive News story: Nissan's Aguascalientes factory, which makes the Sentra and Versa models for export to the United States, is currently stopped, and is scheduled to stay idle for a total of seven days this month, the company told Reuters.
This is interesting to me because even with the slow down here in the US, I'd expect smaller, efficient cars to still be selling reasonably well. A quick check of February data shows the for the first two months of 2008, the Sentra sold 14,479 units compared to 16,169 in 2007 whereas the Versa has sold 11,317 in 2008 as compared to 9,622 in the first two months of 2007.
