Interesting head to head comparison over at Edmunds' site. The diesel Benz bests the Hybrid Tahoe with a better observed fuel economy: 22.1 MPG City Loop/26 MPG highway loop verses the Chevy's 20.1 MPG City Loop/21.9 Highway Loop. When you figure in the higher price of diesel, the Benz did actually cost a dollar more overall to fill its tank. Edmunds assigned first place to the Benz because of its better fuel economy, superior dynamics and more useful seating.
