Air Tranica, Air Panica: A Win, A Plane, An Accident

Update: Here is a quote from Danica about the accident: "It's really, really unfortunate what happened today. Thoughts and prayers are with him and his family," said Patrick. "Hopefully he can get back to the track soon and be able to do what he loves."

Other than some cuts and a slight concussion, it looks like Buckman will be okay. He'll probably be chowing down on Advil like they were butter mints for a few days.

First she wins the Japan 300 IndyCar race, then she gets a Boeing 717 renamed in her honor with a massive wrap on the plane, and now she hits somebody. Actually, the last bit is quite unfortunate.

Charles Buckman, crewmember for Dale Coyne Racing, was taken to a hospital after Danica Patrick's race car struck him in the pit area during Friday afternoon's practice for the Indianapolis 500.

Hopefully Buckman will have a speedy recovery and will be back in the pits soon!
