Prestone's "Bug Wash" windshield washer fluid is giving away a 2008 VW New Beetle. I actually do use Prestone's product and its "okay." I got a big laugh out the "Cleans 100% Better" claim on the bottle. C'mon Prestone, who are we fooling here? I mean people won't question 10%, 20% or maybe even 30% better, but 100%? Doesn't that say "Our product was crap before, but now it really works!"
I tell you what, the best and I mean absolutely the best, windshield cleaner is located on I-5 at the Shell gas station near the Seven Feathers Casino in Canyonville, Oregon. I don't know what the heck they put in their buckets, but that stuff is gold! Normally gasoline stations have a swill of slightly soapy, grimy water in a bucket that wouldn't be fit to clean your muddy boots. This stuff at Shell melts away bugs and all and leaves your windshield sparkling clean. The solution even has a great alcohol finish to it that makes you feel clean all over. I actually look forward to stopping at this station on our trips to Oregon but my wife wishes I'd just shut up about it already. I've asked the attendants about what product they use, but I've never got a straight (or printable) answer from them. If you do stop there, don't make the mistake of trying to fill your own car. Oregon's a full service state and they can get pretty surly about it if you try to upend the law.
Oh, gosh, I totally forgot about the sweepstakes. Click here to enter.
