Update: Here is more info, the St. Louis minivan plant looks like it might be idled. The plant, which is known as St. Louis South and is located in Fenton, Mo., assembles the Dodge Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country minivan. The same vehicles are also assembled at a plant in Windsor, Ontario.
Minivan sales are down and the latest edition of the Chrysler product probably didn't move the needle far enough. The wife and I looked at the Town & Country and we were interested, but we were put off by the dealer's lack of interest in dealing (the dealer had actually tacked on $ to the MSRP!). In sharp contrast, Honda and Toyota dealers were immediately will to cut to the chase and give us a reasonable bid.

Word is just beginning to leak out that Chrysler may be announcing some production cuts/changes. Stay tuned as this story develops.
