Fuel Saving Gadget that Works (sorta)

Fuel Saving Gadget that Works - Cincinnati breaking news, weather radar, traffic from 9News Channel 9 WCPO.com

There are a lot of crazy, "supposed" fuel saving devices out there that do absolutely nothing. This "Fuel Mizer" however does actually help drivers improve their car's economy by modifying how the car is driven. How does it work? It simply registers G-forces, and blinks with red lights when you hit the gas or brakes too hard. Pretty straightforward, no? The article linked above suggests you could accomplish the same thing with a cup of water in the cup holder, but where's the fun in that? My recommendation is a scalding hot cup of coffee with no lid in your lap. I guarantee you won't make any sudden moves with that baby and if you do spill the coffee on yourself: jackpot! The WSJ also has an article on fuel saving devices which basically states the same thing: most don't do anything. If you like reading the same conclusion over and over again, you can click here as well.

The best way to save is to make sure your car is in peak condition, tires are properly inflated, no jackrabbit starts, reducing unnecessary weight, etc, etc.
