Suzuki: Well If Porsche Isn't Going, Then Neither Are We

"Suzuki Motor Corp. will not take part in the 2009 North American International Auto Show in Detroit because the space it was offered didn't fit its needs, the company and show organizers said Wednesday."

I have blogged about Cobo's issues before. Without some much needed freshening and expansion Cobo will continue to run afoul of some manufacturers. With the Indians and Chinese also looking to increase their presence at the show, there will only be an increased need for more space. Heck they are already driving on the show floor! I'm a traditionalist and I don't want to see NAIAS to lose its prominence.
