News Strike hits Opel in Antwerp - News from Belgium - Expatica
Line workers at GM's Opel manufacturing facility in Antwerp, Belgium went on strike to demand an extra eight seconds to complete work on each car. Apparently arrangements had been made to allow workers the extra eight seconds, but then management cut the extra time down to five seconds. Once the strike started to grind the entire factory down to a halt, an accord was reached and the eight second increase was back. Too bad Saturn can't sell an Astra in eight seconds.
