VW Newsroom: VOLKSWAGEN REPORTS JULY 2008 SALES
I'll have a glass of giddyup, sir. VW posted increased sales of 4.0% when comparing July '07 to July '08. A big winner was the GTI, posting 31.4 percent increase and its best sales month since March of 2006. The Jetta remains the volume king, selling almost 9,000 copies. Boy I'd sure love a GTI right now and if I had confidence that it wouldn't give me a bunch of trouble I might do it.

It's interesting to see that while the major US automakers have been seeing huge losses, VW continues to post increases. I think consumers are really coming around to the smaller and more refined VW standards.
