While attending speaking at the 2008 Public Relations Society of America International Conference, Bob Lutz was asked about a potential merger with Chrysler and said "There is no timeframe at all for having anything definitive." The scuttlebutt floating around is that GM and Cerberus want to have something sewn up before the November 4 election. Of course, I suppose there could be a "tentative" deal by Election Day, it just wouldn't be "definitive."
Lutz would not comment on whether or not Treasury Secretary "Moneybags" Paulson (pictured above) has been asked to fork over some funds to get the deal done.
