Honda Venza Competitor In the Works, But When Will We See It?

Honda has been in its test kitchen, busily preparing a Venza-like crossover that will slot between the CR-V and Pilot in size. You can check out a full write-up at Temple of VTEC or peruse a full slate of images at AutoWeek. Some folks are hailing this vehicle as the return of the Accord wagon. It remains to be seen how much of the bodywork is production ready, but the overall shape looks to be the oh-so-popular "wagon on stilts" shape that is sweeping the nation. I guess the added height and butch bodywork gives automakers the ability to deny these things are wagons. Keep in mind that we have seen an X6/FX competitor from Acura driving around as well. One would presume that the are all sharing similar underpinnings.

So when would we see these shining beacons of crossover magic? Honda has stated that it will be very low profile at the Detroit show, unveiling the production Insight but minus any flash. Honda also said it will hold no press conferences at the Chicago show. The only remaining major U.S. show would be New York.
