NSX No Va

Honda has come to the conclusion that at least for now the world doesn't need another supercar. In an effort to conserve cash and realign its lineup with new market realities Honda has given the next generation NSX its walking papers.

What is surprising is that the NSX was really far along. There were a lot of spyshots of nearly completed prototypes running around Nürburgring. Replacing the NSX was troubling for Honda ever since the early stages as initial design concepts failed to wow the public.

Honda will undoubtedly use a lot of what it learned on the NSX project on production vehicles and there is no saying that once the market improves the NSX won't come back. Unfortunate news for fans, but does the rest of the car buying even care?

One caveat here, we've seen stories in the past involving quotes from Honda President Takeo Fukui that have proved to be off the mark due to translation issues. More than likely the NSX story is accurate, but just keep this in mind.
