Hall: Fiat/Chrysler Deal Likely to Pass Muster With Feds

Jim Hall of 2953 Analytics, a frequent visitor on John McElroy's program and often quoted for his opinion on the automotive industry, believes that the tentative deal with Fiat and Chrysler will likely be approved by government officials because it will make Chrysler more viable. There is a concern on Capitol Hill that neither Cerberus nor Fiat is infusing any additional cash into Chrysler. In the deal's corner, the UAW does approve of the deal and quite frankly there aren't that many other possible suitors. It would be interesting to see if either company would cough up some cash if some pressure was applied by the government.
