From a percentage point of view, VW's December sales were not as awful as November, with "only" a 14.4% decline. The official month of Thanksgiving brought a 19.2% plunge when comparing them against November 2007. VW's October 2008 sales were down 7.9 percent.
Now of course, we should keep in mind that this year's numbers include models such as the CC, Routan, Tiguan and Jetta SportWagen which were not on last year's chart.
