2009 Goodguys Get-Together headed for Alameda Co. Fairgrounds May 30-31

When I used to hear about the Goodguys hot rod events, I always thought it was somehow related to the electronics retailer. It doesn't. Now, it's very common for me to get things wrong. For example, for years I thought that Alaska Airlines had a picture of Abraham Lincoln on its tail, not an Eskimo. I am now aware that the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association has nothing to do the defunct retailer and NO I didn't just learn that on Wikipedia.

Coming up at the end of the month, the sixteenth annual Summer Get-Together, will be held at Pleasanton's Alameda County Fairgrounds. Be there or be clueless like me.

A special pinstriper’s Brush Bash exhibition will be one of many event features at the upcoming 16th Summer Get-Together. The Brush Bash is a special exhibit where pinstripe artists get together and stripe and letter various objects. The most popular items include garbage cans, toilet seats, hood sides, fenders, other painted metal panels, coolers, purses – almost anything!

Fans can bring items to be striped for a fee or purchased already striped items. The Brush Bash will be going on all weekend inside the Exhibition Hall.
