2011 Toyota Sienna to offer 4 cylinder option, ottoman seating, sport model

As we approach the December 2 reveal for the 2011 Toyota Sienna more information is starting to leak out. These particular details come from a Toyota Canada release posted on Toyota Nation.

Please note: At the request of the person who posted the thread on Toyota Nation, the link to the thread has been removed. It should be noted that this information is unconfirmed by Toyota, but additional sources outside of the Toyota Nation thread are confirming these features on the 2011 Sienna.

Keep in mind that because this is a Canadian release, there may be some slight differences in the USA version (but I emphasize the word slight).

Relive the 2010 Toyota Sienna in the slideshow below with a gallery of images including special guest appearances from the Ramp Van and Lift Seat van.

Recently we saw pictures of a 2011 Toyota Sienna mule that had tight(er) fitting camouflage and showing a Venza inspired face. We also learned that the 2011 Sienna will have a sport model and now we have more details: The SE model will have more aggressive exterior styling, a unique dark cloth interior, firmer steering, lowered suspension, and 19-inch alloy wheels.

The Sienna will also be following the Venza into the 4 cylinder realm, offering up the same 2.7L engine mated to a six speed automatic. The 2.7L motor serves up 182HP in the Venza and will likely do about the same in the 2011 Sienna. The excellent 266HP, 3.5L V6 remains basically as-is.

Inside the Sienna, the wider DVD screen that we heard about is apparently 16.4" which is a big jump up from the 9" display in the 2010 Sienna. Also a welcome addition will be ottoman seating, allowing passengers to recline with their feet supported. The ottoman seating will likely be for the second row passengers only.

For those folks biting their fingers, AWD will still be available. No hybrid option is mentioned in the Canadian release, but it is a foregone conclusion that it will be made available within the next few years.

In a final note, Smart Key entry will be available and even base models will get 17" alloy wheels, nifty! Cloth models will feature "Easy Clean" fabric, very similar to YES Essentials fabric found in Chrysler products. No word about the rumored dual sunroofs.

I will have all the details on the 2011 model as soon as they become available, so use the "subscribe to receive alerts" link below to be notified as soon as I post the information. Assembly for the 2011 Sienna will begin in January of 2010, so 2011 models should reach showrooms by February.

2011 Toyota Sienna is one of the most innovative and significant model. The Sienna minivan is one of the vehicle people look upto. It has a very good design and powerful engines. It is available in LE, SE, XLE, and Limited Trim. It also features a six speed automatic transmission. The interiors are fabulous and very spacious for 7 or 8 passengers.
