Academy of Art University classic car collection picture gallery

While attending the San Francisco Auto Show, I happened by the Academy of Art's classic car collection.

Let me tell you, that whole area reeked of gasoline, a testament to just how good modern fuel evaporation controls are today.

The cars were hand picked by the University's Industrial Design Department Director Tom Matano.  It is Matano who lead the design team on the original Mazda Miata.  Recently you might have read about Matano's involvement with startup company V-Vehicle, a new car company that plans to manufacture cars in Louisiana.

Without further ado, I give you the collection of 1930s era vehicles in this linked slideshow!
