A few pictures of the new Stream. Looks sharp! I've thrown in a pic of the old Stream for comparison...nice improvement! Anyone else see a hint of the Caliber here and there?
Update: Currently the Stream is a Japanese domestic market vehicle, but if you take a look at Temple of Vtec's model release matrix it mentions that Honda may introduce the Latitude in the USA and that vehicle would be based off the Stream (which is Civic based). The USA/Honda Latitude rumor has been around for awhile, but may be picking up more steam now that gas prices are raising interest levels in smaller cars. There is another tidbit about Honda's US plans over at ToV that you might want to check out by clicking here.
The question of bringing the Stream to the USA (or something like it) brought up the question about how well the Mazda5 is doing in the USA. I spoke with Jeremy Barnes at Mazda PR and said that the 5 is “right on target” in terms of sales. The 5 was never intended for high volume and Mazda didn’t invest a lot to bring it to the USA, so they’re pleased with the returns on their minimal investment. According to the sales charts, Mazda sold 7,806 5’s by the end of May. In the same timeframe Mazda sold 42,453 3’s and 31,943 6’s.

Is this Euro/Japan only?

I see more R-Class than Caliber.
This would definately be a BIG seller for Honda, for families living on a budget with more than 2 children and looking for a DEPENDABLE, HIGH QUALITY vehicle that gets respectable mileage and seats up to 7!!!! The Mazda 5 comes close but it can only seat 6! If they can still build them in Japan and sell them here for a reasonable price, Honda would be missing the opportunity of a lifetime to provide American families the type of transportation they really need!!!! This could revolutionize the industry!!!!
