$3/gallon? In Cali we're already living it

Articles like this MSNBC number, really rile me up. The gist of the article is that average U.S. gasoline prices are not expected to rise to the $3-a-gallon level. Well, that may be the case for some, but not for us here in sunny CA where we've been paying over $3 for some time now.

I would feel a bit better if these increased prices were going to support better public transit or road improvements, but no matter the case sustained high(er) prices will eventually foster some change in habits.

I'm not against the lifted, Ford Super Duty but unless you need it for work why not leave it in the driveway until the weekend comes and it's time to play and drive an Astra to work? Or, put down $99 for the fortwo.
