Oh, You Mean REALLY Dead

Update: Horrible news, folks. Erica N. Smith died Monday afternoon at Brooke Army Medical Center after suffering a head injury in the Sunday morning crash. We'll never know if the outcome would have been different had Erica been attended to sooner and that not knowing will be difficult for her family to ever forget. My sincere condolences. San Antonio--An EMS tech erroneously pronounced a 23 year old passenger as being dead and placed a yellow sheet over her body. It was only after the medical examiner's office arrived to investigate the fatality that Erica Smith was found to be alive. EMS had already left the scene and had to be called back to rush Smith to the hospital where she is currently in critical condition.
