One of the great bits about being your own editor is that you can write slightly off-color headlines such as the one above anytime you like. The inspiration for this story is a WSJ report that says that while Ford very keen on Tata, FoMoCo doesn't want to completely dismiss other Jaguar and Land Rover's suitors just yet. What a tease! How long must we wait?
The article mentions that Ford may signal to the world, as soon as today (Thursday), that it is getting serious with Tata. How Ford will go about showing its intentions is anyone's guess, but Tata is undoubtedly hoping its more than a peck on the cheek.
Tata had no comment on the WSJ story.
