Update: The missing boater has still not been found, but a local paper has written a story about the boater and the people who continue to search for him.
A boat using side-scan sonar located three stolen cars in Bethany Reservoir in Alameda County. The missing boater has yet to be found, but in the meantime a car reported stolen out of Los Angeles in 2003, one reported stolen out of Antioch in 2003, and another car reported stolen out of North Sacramento in 2005 were all found under water near the boat ramp.
I've thrown in a picture of James Bond's Lotus (not one of the stolen vehicles). The boater, Eric Wright, is still missing as of today (1/2/08).
