iQ 4 US?

Automotive News is adding to the speculation that we'll see the diminutive Toyota iQ here in the USA. It all comes down to meeting US safety regulations. According to the story, the iQ was designed for the US, but Toyota is concerned about meeting certain US standards.

I say it bring it on! The US is showing a renewed interest in small cars and I'm all for it. The iQ offers more passenger flexibility than the fortwo and it would be available at your nearby Toyota dealer. Oh yeah, and it would have a "real warranty" as opposed to the 2 year, 24 month joke that Penske is foisting over on eager buyers. You probably wouldn't have to go on a waiting list to get one, either.
