Owner Picks Up Million Dollar 'Vette

Automakers have learned that a great way to launch a new, exclusive model is to auction the first model off the line for charity. The car goes for a fantastic price, which generates headlines, a charity benefits greatly and a rabid fan gets his prize. The above video shows Dave Ressler picking up his pride and joy at the Corvette Plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Ressler, a Chevrolet dealer, also owns the world's oldest Corvette and now VIN number 0001 of the 2009 ZR1s. Not a bad way to bookend a collection.
