I'll be honest that I had forgotten about Chrysler's corporate-wide shutdown that will begin on July 7 and last for two weeks. Virtually all salaried and hourly workers would be required to use two weeks of their vacation time. A media advisory was just sent out today regarding the shutdown so I thought I'd post about it. Chrysler chief Bob Nardelli said the move is needed to help the company create "efficiency across organizational lines and boost productivity." Don't worry, Chrysler dealers will still be open for business.
